Dr. Ted Mika

 

Dr.Ted Mika is one of the founders of PETS and has been an emergency veterinarian since 2001 when the clinic opened. He graduated from Kansas State University as a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine in 1992 and worked in large animal medicine. Since then he has practiced in Fort Collins, Greeley, and South Dakota. He enjoys the many outdoor activities that Colorado has to offer. Dr. Jon Geller

 

Dr. Jon Geller has been an emergency veterinarian since 2002. He graduated from Colorado State University with his Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine in 1995. Dr. Mary Ann Archer

Dr.Archer has been with PETS since 2004. She graduated from Purdue University in 2001 and has been working in small animal medicine ever since. One of her passions is cooking. She lives in Loveland with her husband John, daughter Hannah, and dog Cheyenne. Dr. Rebecca Cross

Dr. Rebecca Cross graduated from Texas A&M University with a Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine in 1997. She began work in East Texas primarily as a general practitioner in small animal medicine, however she has been an ER veterinarian at PETS since 2002. She lives in Greeley with her husband Carl and their two children Rachel and Preston. Together they enjoy the beauty of Colorado by hiking, camping and snow skiing. Dr. Sue Donahue 

Dr. Susan Donohue graduated from Colorado State University in 2004. She has been working with animals since she was young, starting out with wildlife and marine animals. She has been and likely will always be an avid outdoor enthusiast and outdoor sports fanatic. Dr. Joe Sharrock

 

Dr. Sharrock graduated from Colorado State University with a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine in 2010.  Originally from Anchorage, Alaska, Joe graduated from the United States Military Academy in 1997 and served almost 8 years on active duty in the Army prior to transitioning to veterinary medicine in 2005.  Joe has a lovely wife, Shannon, and daughter, Devin.  He use to have enough spare time to be an avid hockey player, coach, and fan, but now spends his limited free time with his family.  Joe's animal family includes a Golden Retriever mix pooch (Isabel), and five rescue cats.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 


 

Dr. Jessica Rychel

 

    Dr. Jessica Rychel is a graduate of Colorado State University and participated in an internship at our sister clinic in Fort Collins, CO after graduation. Dr. Rychel likes all aspects of emergency medicine, but particularly enjoys incorporating pain management and integrative medicine. She is certified in medical acupuncture and physical rehabilitation for small animals. Dr. Ashley Ackley

 

Dr. Ashley Ackley is a Colorado native who received all three of her degrees from Colorado State University. Emergency medicine became an interest after working as a technician during vet school and she continues to enjoy the excitement and challenges it brings as a doctor. Ashley enjoys volunteering, traveling, team sports and any animal-related activities. She is very passionate about international animal welfare and greyhound rescue. Andrea

 

Andrea has been in the veterinary field in several different areas for 15 years and an emergency technician for the past 4 years. She really enjoys the variety of cases we see here at PETS ER. Andrea has lived in Colorado her whole life and loves all the seasons. She has two daughters, one at college and the other a junior in High school. Destinie Langford, CVT

        

Destinie graduated from Bel-Rea in 2003 and has been with PETS Emergency since 2008. Now a passionate breeder of Whippets, Destinie has been in the business of purebred dogs since she was in high school. Besides being interested in the sound breeding of show dogs, Destinie enjoys the ever expanding world of emergency and critical care medicine. She is currently pursuing her certification in Emergency and Critical Care from AVECCT-VTS and is excited to continue to expand her knowledge base in this field. Outside of work Destinie enjoys spending time with her family, which includes her husband of 10 years Matt, their son Shjon and a number of Whippets as well as a Dachshund. Kari Frankhouse, CVT

Dalton Hindmarsh


Dalton came to PETS in the spring of 2011 from a small town in southwest Colorado, where he spent three years after high school working as a technician at a busy mixed animal veterinary practice. He is currently finishing up his Bachelor’s degree in Animal Science at Colorado State University and will be attending Colorado State University's College of Veterinary Medicine in the fall.


 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 


 

Melissa Hale

 

Melissa has been a technician since 1993 and has been with the PETS team since 2002. She loves the technical aspect of her job such as placing catheters and drawing blood (shes a vampire!). Melissa is one of our most experienced emergency technicians and we are glad to have her as a part of our team. Outside of work Melissa has two kids ages 10 and 12 years old. Raesha Moss, CVT

Stacey Chase

Amy Rich

 

Amy joined the PETS team in Spring of 2008. She has always been drawn to animals and decided to make them her career choice, and feels it has been one of the best decisions she's ever made! Amy hopes to continue her education and become a technician. Outside of work, Amy is a local girl, who still has a large extended family in Greeley and surrounding towns. She is married to a wonderful husband of 9 years and has 2 children ages 7 and 4. Her daughter, seen with her in the photo, loves coming to PETS and watching mom work,  maybe a future staff member in about 10 years! Amy's family currently has 1 dog, and 1 cat at home, but Amy was raised with a houseful of pets of all kinds. As a family, the Rich's love being active together and can be found boating, wake-boarding, camping, off-roading, and traveling.  But they also enjoy those quiet times at home together.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 


Deb Anderson


Deb moved to Colorado about 5 years ago from Marietta, Georgia. She was born in Austin, Texas and lived in Colorado Springs, Colorado until she was 15 years old. Deb is the youngest in her family. She has an older sister and brother along with 4 terrific nephews. She is currently in school earning a Nursing degree and a Masters in Psychology, and a degree in Children's writing.
 
Deb has been around animals her entire life, raising dogs and cats, birds and the occasional helpless and homeless frogs and lizards.  She worked at West Ridge Animal Hospital as a Vet Tech Assistant for 2 years and also as an Overnight assistant for 2 years. She came to Pets Emergency because of her love and passion for assisting individuals with the care of their pets and offering comfort and support to the sick and injured animals that come into the clinic. She
 
She is the very proud owner of a German Shepherd and several cats. 
 
Deb has also been involved in volunteer efforts at The Mission in Greeley, Victim's Advocates and served on a Natural Disaster Relief Team while in Georgia.

Lisa Rueb

Lisa has been with PETS since 2004, and is practically irreplaceable. Her favorite aspect of her job is socializing with clients and constantly improving our customer service. Lisa lives on the eastern plains of Colorado with her husband and two kids. Their farm includes ducks, chickens, ferrets, bunnies, dogs, and cats (and probably a few field mice too!). Their family just finished building their new house, and are so excited to finally get settled into their dream home.
