Isis

Isis came into PETS on Saturday afternoon after getting bit by a rattlesnake. Within the first hour her muzzle had started to swell considerably. The staff worked quickly to treat Isis with intravenous fluids and she was given a full vial of antivenin. Isis also received laser treatments to help decrease the swelling. After a full 24 hours of treatment the swelling in her muzzle is decreasing. We are very happy to see that Isis responded to treatment so quickly, most dogs don't do as well as Isis did. Mom and Dad are happy to have Isis back home!

Zoe

Zoe was rushed to PETS ER after her parents thought she ingested a human pain medication called Tapentadol. The staff of PETS worked quickly to induce vomiting, but the medication was not retrieved. Thankfully Zoe's Mom was able to find the pill at home. Time is of the essence in cases where you suspect your pet has ingested a toxin. Zoe's parents did the right thing by bringing her in straight away. Thankfully Zoe did not have to spend the night in the hospital and got to return home to her family!

Kracker

Kracker came to PETS after he was hit by a car. At first it appeared that Kracker just had some minor scrapes. Chest x-rays were taken and they revealed that Kracker had a life threatening diaphragmatic hernia, which means that some of Kracker's organs were in the chest cavity. He was taken to surgery to repair his diaphragm and put his organs back in their proper places. After several days in the hospital and great home-care by Kracker's parents he is now doing great and on his way to a full recovery!
